Engineer's Day in Krefeld

At the "Day of Engineers" on 27.01.18 at the University of Applied Sciences Niederrhein (Krefeld) the students presented their technical projects of the last months. Visitors were able to try out some of the technology projects for themselves. In the area of our information booth a robot contest took place, in which 20 groups of students competed against each other with their self-built robots. In support of this contest, Trainlux Linux Services GmbH gave away four free voucher for the LFCS exam to participants and visitors. Congratulations to the winners!

Become an engineer - but how?

What can I expect in my studies? And what is the everyday working life of an engineer like?

Answers to these questions can be found on the engineer's day at the Niederrhein University of Applied Sciences in Krefeld.

One day - three departments!

On Saturday, January 27,2018, between 9 a. m. and 1 p. m., the faculties of mechanical and process engineering, electrical engineering and computer science as well as industrial engineering invite all those interested in technology to inform themselves about the diverse range of courses of study in the engineering sciences and their flexible study models and provide insights into their research projects as well as the modern laboratory areas.

That's what awaits you on Engineering Day:

  •     More than 150 students of the higher semesters present their projects, some of which were developed in cooperation with companies from the region, at an in-house exhibition. Accompanying lectures will be given by students.
  •     The faculties provide information about their study programme and advise on the choice of study programme in the engineering sciences.
  •     25 engineers, former students, report on their career entry and everyday life.
  •     The Formula Student team invites you to a virtual test drive in the university's own racing car and gives you a first insight into the electric vehicle.
  •     First semester and pupils from the region compete in a contest with self-built robots.
  •     Immerse yourself in the world of virtual reality: What is the difference between virtual reality and augmented reality?
  •     The MakerSpace, the open workshop of Niederrhein University of Applied Sciences, opens its doors

Company representatives can also find out about the various cooperation opportunities with the university when it comes to recruiting personnel at an early stage.

Theoretically good, practically better - that is the motto according to which one studies in Krefeld.
